[PIB] Chief of the Army Staff Gen VK Singh shared his NCC experience with the young cadets during his hour long visit to NCC Republic Day Camp in New Delhi today. Addressing the NCC Cadets Gen VK Singh recalled the days when he was a Naval Cadet in the school. He acknowledged the valuable contribution of NCC. He added that NCC groom leaders on and off the field, infusing positive attitude and team spirit through a cutting edge provided by multifarious training to young cadets. He exhorted the young Cadets to emulate the former outstanding NCC cadets who did the country proud at National and International levels. The General said that he was very confident that most NCC Cadets would join the defence forces and do a great service to the nation.

Selected group of cadets presented a smart ‘Guard Of Honour’ to the Chief which was followed by a spectacular band display by the NCC Band, Kapurthala. The versatile NCC Cadets, thereafter, enthralled the Chief and the spectators with an imaginative cultural programme.
