CHENNAI: Eleven fishermen, stranded off the Andhra Pradesh coast in rough seas, were today rescued by the Indian Navy.
The fishermen were rescued after Navy ships found them stranded off the coast off Narsapur in Andhra Pradesh, a Navy press release said.
Naval divers in Chetak helicopters rescued the fishermen this morning after district officials requested the Navy to undertake a rescue operation, it said.
